Patient-aid-programs at Bayer HealthCare

Many people do not have access to appropriate healthcare – and not only in developing countries, but also in emerging economies such as China, Brazil, Egypt, Russia or Romania. Aid programs are necessary. Not only the typical diseases of poverty require treatment, but often the same illnesses as in industrialized countries: cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. In such cases, the Bayer HealthCare Division, Bayer Schering Pharma is helping to close gaps in the provision of medical care by public health systems.
In industrialized countries, too, there are many people who cannot afford life-saving but cost-intensive therapies. We offer aid programs in order to reach these people and enable them to receive effective treatment.
