Andreas Fibig

Andreas Fibig is member of the Bayer HealthCare Executive Committee and responsible for the Pharmaceuticals Division since September 1, 2008.

Andreas Fibig was born in Berlin, Germany, on February 23, 1962. Following his college education, Fibig joined the former Schering AG as a commercial trainee and assumed the role of a country coordinator with responsibility for sales and marketing in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. In October 1984 he moved to Boehringer Ingelheim KG eventually becoming head of Boehringer Ingelheim’s Mercosur region.

In 2000 he joined the former Pharmacia & Upjohn GmbH as Country President of German operations. Following Pharmacia’s acquisition by Pfizer he became President for Pfizer's operations in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Prior to joining Bayer, Fibig has served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Pfizer in the USA.

Andreas Fibig is a Board member of EFPIA, the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries & Associations, and chairs the Board of Trustees of the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of International Flavors & Fragrances Inc.

Andreas Fibig is married and has two children.
