Manfred Vehreschild

Manfred Vehreschild has been a member of the Bayer HealthCare Executive Committee and Head of Central Administration & Organization since January 1, 2010. He is also a member of the Management Board of Bayer HealthCare AG and Bayer Schering Pharma AG.

Manfred Vehreschild was born on August 9, 1957 in Bedburg-Hau, Germany. After training in business administration at Bayer AG and completing his military service, his first position was in Bayer's Internal Auditing Department, which he joined in 1981. Vehreschild subsequently spent almost five years as Head of the Finance Department at what was then Bayer Diagnostics GmbH in Munich. In 1993 he transferred to the Bayer group in Canada, headquartered in Toronto, as CFO.

Returning to Germany in March 1997, Vehreschild held a series of senior positions in the Finance & Accounting function of the Bayer Group.

He was Head of Business Administration within this function from 1997 to 2001 and subsequently Head of Business Administration, Development and Systems in the Enterprise Accounting function. From 2003 to the end of 2009 Vehreschild was responsible for accounting across all the Bayer companies in his function as Head of Group Accounting and Controlling/Biltrolling. Manfred Vehreschild was also a member of the Bayer Community Board IT (CB-IT) and a member of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Board.

Manfred Vehreschild remains a member of the Bayer Community Board IT (CB-IT) in his new capacity and also has a seat on the Community Board Finance, Controlling, Tax, Legal and Patents (CB-FACT / LP).

Vehreschild is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Bayer Business Services GmbH.

Manfred Vehreschild is married.
