Bayer Medical Care was created effective January 1, 2009 and comprises Bayer HealthCare Division Diabetes Care and MEDRAD for business and reporting purposes with each continuing to operate as separate entities.

The Diabetes Care Division is one of the world’s market leaders in the field of blood glucose monitoring systems.

People with diabetes have to monitor their blood glucose at regular intervals. Bayer HealthCare has provided devices and test strips for blood glucose monitoring for more than 40 years. These products are used by diabetics to safely and conveniently monitor their blood glucose levels both at home and on the move.


Blood glucose monitoring systems by Bayer such as Contour® and Breeze® 2 make everyday life easier for people with diabetes. The systems are easy to use, do not need to be coded and provide convenient diabetes data management.

Medrad

Medrad develops and provides medical devices used to diagnose cardiovascular and other diseases. Medrad's vascular injection systems for contrast media are market leaders in angiography, cardiology, computer tomography and magnetic resonance.
