Animal Health

Protect animals, benefit people

The division Animal Health has attained a leadership position by continuously researching and developing new products for animal health since 1919.

Innovative veterinary products for farm and companion animals

For over 80 years, Bayer has been researching in its own laboratories to find innovative veterinary products at its research center in Monheim, Germany. This work is currently focusing first and foremost on the development of new healthcare products for productive livestock (cattle, pigs, poultry) and pets (dogs, cats, horses). Potential active substance candidates stem directly from research activities at the division Bayer Schering Pharma or Bayer CropScience.

The Animal Health Division focuses its research and development activities on antimicrobials, parasiticides and active substances useful for the treatment of non-infectious diseases such as renal failure, pain management, oncology, and congestive heart failure.
